Online health resources are producing a major shift in healthcare. Online patients are collaborating with health professionals in interesting and useful ways. Health consumers are becoming healthcare providers, managers, and advisors. And in addition to providing care, health professionals are increasingly serving as coaches, supporters, and coordinators of self-managed care.

At this time of impending change, there is a need for the best thinkers-health and computer professionals and layfolk alike- to work together to develop new and better online health tools for patients and to describe and implement the next steps in the evolution of Information Age healthcare. People and tools that can aid in this effort are sought and promoted by The Ferguson Report.
